Rock Steady Crew 20th Anniversary
Every summer as usual, the hip-hop world gathers uptown in NYC for the annual Rock Steady Crew Anniversary, a massive weekend summit of live performances, speaking engagements and all-around good times. The 1997 event carried a little more sentimental value, as everyone celebrated twenty historic years of true hip-hop. Though this video only highlights the indoor part of the event, it's still chock full of excellent footage. Witness live shows by The Beatnuts, Big Punisher, Jungle Brothers, Boot Camp Clik, Q-Unique & Freestyle from The Arsonists, Zeebra from Japan and The DITC crew. There's also coverage from the International B-Boy Battle and the Beat Box Showdown. Also check out appearances by old school legends like Crazy Legs, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Caz and Ken Swift.
