Tabletrns was a simple idea that brought about some amazine results...

...Create a place where DJ's could meet and showcase the skills they practiced for countless hours in the basement. In fact, Tableturns brought the entire basement to the public. If you had ever been to a Tableturns event, you felt you were at your friend's house, heckling each other, drinking beers, and watching some of the best DJ-ing in the world.

Although its venue could only hold 150 people, Tableturns became a turntablist landmark, the first open turntable session for DJ's in one of the epicenters of DJ-ing. Guest DJ's were flown in and included, the X-ecutioners, Babu, Swamp, A-Trak, Quest, P-Trix, Swift Rock and others. Apollo and Disk came through on separate occasions and improvised routines with Rob Swift. The super crew, The Allies, once known as the Krash Test Dummiez, established their roots there when Develop picked up Craze at the airport for a Tableturns showcase. The Rane TTM-54 mixer was designed by the Tableturns Crew after Rane approached Sugarcuts, Big Wiz, Peter Parker, and Marz One for a new standard for "scratch" mixers. The list is endless. DJ's made their names, crews were born. As word got out, Tableturns events spread to Montreal, San Francisco, San Diego, Houston, and Vermont...

For this, the Fourth Anniversary, the Tableturns crew brought together one of the most impressive lineup of DJ's ever assembled. Inspired by "A Great Day In Harlem", the Third Anniversary automatically carried the weight of a historic DJ event. Over 2000 people packed the legendary Limelight that night. We almost couldn't find film to tape the event (we got it last minute), but lucky for you, we did. Enjoy the Show.
