This 1995 video produced by Up Above Records is one of the most popular DJ instruction tapes for hip-hop. Hosted by the all-star lineup of Q-Bert, Shortkut, Rhettmatic, Babu and Melo-D, "Stage 1" features an open discussion of DJ/turntablist philosophy and in-depth tutorials on record mixing, scratching and battle techniques. The second half includes a solo showcase for each DJ, as well as the music video for Key Kool & Rhettmatic "Can U Hear It?"
